Digi Scrapbooking

Hello from a very wet Dorset -it has been a very miserable day today but the garden was glad of the rain.

I don't have anywhere to craft at the moment as my house is being put back together after a very stressful year.  My new kitchen is going in so its a very exciting time for me. As it was too wet to go out today I decided to do some Digi Scrapbooking using docrafts Digital Designer.

The fist page was made using the Portobello Road CD.  I love this photo of my family taken at a my cousins wedding in June.

This page of my Grandsons was created using the Birdsong CD  with the Digital Designer software. They loved playing with the hosepipe.  It was more fun than washing the car.

The new Roald Dahl Collection from Docrafts

Roald Dahl  story's brings back such happy memories for me.  I  have read and re-read these books and even as an adult I still love his stories.

I have to say that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is my all time favourite so I decided to make a card using the Ultimate Die Cut Pack for my hubby's 50th Birthday.    He was thrilled when he saw the card and I  will be making many more crafty projects using this kit for Cancer Research.

My lovely work colleague took the photo's for me.  Hannah Newman is one of the photographers at Docrafts and she produces wonderful shots of all our crafty projects for our magazine and web site.

Hannah has a blog but she admits that it needs a little TLC - you can view it here

Hope you like my card.

Hi Crafty Friends

I have had Digital Designer on my laptop for ages and as I am home at the moment with shingles I have been having a play.

Here is my first attempt.  A card for Hubby as its our Anniversary on June 29th.

I quite like it and I am sure the more I use Digital Designer the better I will get.

Tilly says Hallo

No I have not spelt this wrong - this card was made for the German Shopping Channel HSE 24.

Tilly is one of my favorite characters and the A4 Ultimate Kit is just full of papers and toppers, tags and decoupage.

I entered this into Scribble & Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Hello Crafters its been a while......

Well its been a hectic few months with the house build and we have had to live with relatives for a while too.  My Mum in Law has a lovely conservatory so I have been able to craft in there thank goodness.  My new craft room in my own home has been plastered but we have to live in that room until the main part of the house is ready, I cant wait to have my room back.

Anyway I have been very busy working on projects for DoCrafts and as we have some shows on HSE 24 shopping channel in the next few weeks,  they required samples for the products they were selling.

The first sample is  this cute box I decorated.  This was to show off the flower die on the top of lid.
The die is an XCUT Nesting Die - Bloom.  I love this Die as you can do so much with it.  The papers I used are from the Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection.

I really love the Vintage Notes Lace which really finished the box off.

And here is the Bloom Flower Die.

The next project I made was this cute card.

I adore these papers - you can get so many looks from one paper pack. How pretty are these flowers?

Lastly in this lot of Samples I made this gorgeous flower pot.

This is my favorite sample and it just goes to show how versatile this Bloom Die is.

The next product I had to do samples for was the XCUT Circle Cutter.  I had never used this tool before but now I have bought one for myself as it was so good and although I do have circle dies, this tool allows you to crate so many more different sizes.

I used the papers from the A4 Ultimate Die Cut Bellisima Range.

I cut the circles and used them in the background for this pretty Papermania Butterfly Urban Stamp.
I finished off with a paper Rosette and  ribbon from the Oyster Blush Capsule Collection.

The next sample in my cirle range is this one!
Again using the Capsule Collection Pastels Papers and embellishments, I have created a pretty card using the circle cutter and used the circles as a matt to show off the big bloom.

Next I made a shaped base card.

The Bellisima Range is so girly and I love creating cards with this kit,

The next sample was this pretty flower  which is great for hanging up on a door or wall.made with cirles that have been folded in half.

This is such an easy project but looks very effective.

Here is a close up.

Lastly I did a samples for the show using the XCUT Floral Frame Embossing Folder.

Here I have used the embossing folder on parchment paper. It looks so pretty.  The papers are from the Bellisima paper pack and Papermania Gemstone Butterfly Stickers.

My altered Mirror fo the Creativity Magazine

Hi Crafty Friends

I was asked to make a project for the Creativity Magazine and so I was set the challenge.

I decided to use the  Pastel Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection to make this altered mirror.

It was a challenge rolling all those paper tubes but it was worth the sore fingers when I saw the end result

For more details on how to make this project get  the April edition of the Creativity Magazine .

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

My Auntie and Uncle have been married for such a long time and next week celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

I am in the middle of a major house renovation and I made this card in amongst all the mess.  This will be the last card I make for a while now as I have to pack all my craft stuff away.

I love making white on white cards they look so classy.

I used a Crafters Companion embossing folder and some Spellbinders Dies to create the effect.

The stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

Bye for now
