Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

Well I dont know what is the matter with me but I forgot my Mum & Dads wedding anniversary. Oops sorry Mum & Dad.

Anyway I had to make a card for them even though it will be late.  They love to see my handmade cards and Mum has kept everyone I have ever sent them.

I decided to get my xpress machine working this afternoon and decided to mix a few of the  xcut dies.
Using the bored dies from the English die set  and the birds and bird house from the Mixed die set.  which is brand new out I thought they work perfectly together.

Don't forget to pop over to www.docrafts.com to see all the new dies that we have got coming out.

I really like this new die set, the little birds are so cute and I can see them working well  with a Christmas scene too so watch this spot.

Hope your having a lovely weekend crafty friends.

Roald Dhal

Today I would like to share with you a card I made last evening for my niece who will be 21 next week,

I went away this weekend to stay with my in-laws in their holiday caravan and took a few crafty things with me.  My Mum-In-Law also likes to craft,  and we had such a lovely relaxing time.

I think the Rhold Dahl collection by docrafts shouts celebrations.  The decoupage and the papers are so vibrant and have so much detail.

Sorry the photo is not brilliant as it was taken in the caravan with a mobile phone camera.

If you would  like to see all of the  Rhoald Dhal  collection then visit www.docrafts.com.

Hope you like it.

Crafting by Design: BOO- You Scared Me!

Digi Scrapbooking

I am  really enjoying  learing how to use digital kits  to scrapbook with.

This page was created using Serif Craft Artist 2.

My youngest grandson is so cute and we had a great time at the park.

Another pretty topper from docrafts.

Hi Crafty people.

I thought I would make another card with one of the Anitas decoupage toppers from docrafts.

Now this one is super cute and I thought that the Capsule Papers from  Papermania match perfectly.

I love making quick  cards as I dont have too much time working full time.  Not that I mind at all as I  love my job.

If you would like to see all the new toppers coming out in October please log onto to www.docrafts.com

Now as some of you may know, I still dont have a craft room so have to make  do with a tiny table  wherever I can find a space. My crafty bits are in large cardboard box and it is a nightmare to find things. Its been a while now as we are undertaking a huge renovation on our Bungalow.

I will have my craft room one day and I will be so happy when I can  bring my things  down from the loft and start organizing my crafty stash - there is lots.

Hope you like my pretty pink bear.

One of my Creativity Magazine makes

I forgot to share this picture of  a card I made for Creativity Magazine.  I had to make a card with the free cover mount stamps - I had so much fun making this card and it turned out so pretty.

New Dies from docrafts.

I would like to show you some of the lovely dies that are coming out soon from www.docrafts.com

I made this card today using the new Leaf Border A5 dies.  Birds are all the rage now in card making and home décor and I will defiantly be able to use this die set in lots of projects as it includes lovely leaf borders too.

This card incorporates lots of my favourite docrafts basics  and the  papers I chose to complement the dies are from the Botanical Range.

I will make a another card soon to show some other examples of this very lovely die set.

New Home Card

If you want to make a quick card then Anita's Toppers from www.docrafts.com
are great.  There are so many toppers to choose from and you will find one for every occasion.

I really liked this little cottage, I always dreamed of living in a place like this :-)

I layered up the water color image and chose some papers from one of  docrafts  Digital Designer CD.   By adding some pretty papers and craft card I think it shows off this topper very well.

Hope your all having a good weekend

Digi Scrapbooking

Hello from a very wet Dorset -it has been a very miserable day today but the garden was glad of the rain.

I don't have anywhere to craft at the moment as my house is being put back together after a very stressful year.  My new kitchen is going in so its a very exciting time for me. As it was too wet to go out today I decided to do some Digi Scrapbooking using docrafts Digital Designer.

The fist page was made using the Portobello Road CD.  I love this photo of my family taken at a my cousins wedding in June.

This page of my Grandsons was created using the Birdsong CD  with the Digital Designer software. They loved playing with the hosepipe.  It was more fun than washing the car.

The new Roald Dahl Collection from Docrafts

Roald Dahl  story's brings back such happy memories for me.  I  have read and re-read these books and even as an adult I still love his stories.

I have to say that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is my all time favourite so I decided to make a card using the Ultimate Die Cut Pack for my hubby's 50th Birthday.    He was thrilled when he saw the card and I  will be making many more crafty projects using this kit for Cancer Research.

My lovely work colleague took the photo's for me.  Hannah Newman is one of the photographers at Docrafts and she produces wonderful shots of all our crafty projects for our magazine and web site.

Hannah has a blog but she admits that it needs a little TLC - you can view it here

Hope you like my card.

Tilly says Hallo

No I have not spelt this wrong - this card was made for the German Shopping Channel HSE 24.

Tilly is one of my favorite characters and the A4 Ultimate Kit is just full of papers and toppers, tags and decoupage.

I entered this into Scribble & Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Hello Crafters its been a while......

Well its been a hectic few months with the house build and we have had to live with relatives for a while too.  My Mum in Law has a lovely conservatory so I have been able to craft in there thank goodness.  My new craft room in my own home has been plastered but we have to live in that room until the main part of the house is ready, I cant wait to have my room back.

Anyway I have been very busy working on projects for DoCrafts and as we have some shows on HSE 24 shopping channel in the next few weeks,  they required samples for the products they were selling.

The first sample is  this cute box I decorated.  This was to show off the flower die on the top of lid.
The die is an XCUT Nesting Die - Bloom.  I love this Die as you can do so much with it.  The papers I used are from the Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection.

I really love the Vintage Notes Lace which really finished the box off.

And here is the Bloom Flower Die.

The next project I made was this cute card.

I adore these papers - you can get so many looks from one paper pack. How pretty are these flowers?

Lastly in this lot of Samples I made this gorgeous flower pot.

This is my favorite sample and it just goes to show how versatile this Bloom Die is.

The next product I had to do samples for was the XCUT Circle Cutter.  I had never used this tool before but now I have bought one for myself as it was so good and although I do have circle dies, this tool allows you to crate so many more different sizes.

I used the papers from the A4 Ultimate Die Cut Bellisima Range.

I cut the circles and used them in the background for this pretty Papermania Butterfly Urban Stamp.
I finished off with a paper Rosette and  ribbon from the Oyster Blush Capsule Collection.

The next sample in my cirle range is this one!
Again using the Capsule Collection Pastels Papers and embellishments, I have created a pretty card using the circle cutter and used the circles as a matt to show off the big bloom.

Next I made a shaped base card.

The Bellisima Range is so girly and I love creating cards with this kit,

The next sample was this pretty flower  which is great for hanging up on a door or wall.made with cirles that have been folded in half.

This is such an easy project but looks very effective.

Here is a close up.

Lastly I did a samples for the show using the XCUT Floral Frame Embossing Folder.

Here I have used the embossing folder on parchment paper. It looks so pretty.  The papers are from the Bellisima paper pack and Papermania Gemstone Butterfly Stickers.

My altered Mirror fo the Creativity Magazine

Hi Crafty Friends

I was asked to make a project for the Creativity Magazine and so I was set the challenge.

I decided to use the  Pastel Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection to make this altered mirror.

It was a challenge rolling all those paper tubes but it was worth the sore fingers when I saw the end result

For more details on how to make this project get  the April edition of the Creativity Magazine .

I love my job sooooo much.

For even more inspiration visit www.docraftss.com

Well my building work is in full swing and I have had enough now.  I have not been able to craft for weeks and it is driving me mad.   I cannot wait  for  my Bungalow to be finished and my new craft room can start being organized.

I will take some photos when its all done.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

My Auntie and Uncle have been married for such a long time and next week celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

I am in the middle of a major house renovation and I made this card in amongst all the mess.  This will be the last card I make for a while now as I have to pack all my craft stuff away.

I love making white on white cards they look so classy.

I used a Crafters Companion embossing folder and some Spellbinders Dies to create the effect.

The stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

Bye for now

Mothers Day Card for my Mum In Law

My Mum in Law loves anything vintage so I applied vintage photo ink by Tim Holtz  to age the paper and get that vintage shabby chic look.

I wasn't sure I liked the card while I was making it but by the time I finished adding the embellishments I loved it.  My Hubby confirmed that his Mum would love it too.

This may well be the last crafty project for a while as the builders are arriving tomorrow and my home will be a building site for a few months while it is transformed into my dream home.  I will having a new craft room too.  Very exciting and messy times ahead.

Card Swap

I  belong to a card swap group on Facebook and this month we had to make a sympathy card.  I chose to make this one in these colors as so many people these day ask for people to wear bright colors to their funeral.  I though the card  turned out very well.

The stamp is from Stampin Up! and the papers are from my stash.  Sorry not sure who makes them as  I have lost the cover.

Easter Card for Mum and Dad

When I  received  this Little Claire stamp  of the month I knew it would make a really pretty Easter card. The bunting is a stamp and die set form Spellbinders.  I love it - it is so cute.

I colored  in the stamp with water color pencils. I don't use water though, I blend with paper stumps and bay oil.  It works a treat.  The papers are from Country Companions paper pack.

Getting ready for Easter

Well I know I am a little early with Easter Cards but I am trying to get organized before my craft room is knocked down.  We are having a lot of building work done and eventually I will have a nice new craft room at the front of the house.

I have used a Country Companions topper and papers to match.  How cute are these little hedgehogs?

Hubby's Valentine Card

Hi Crafty Friends

Well its a cold day today so I thought I would pop in my craft room and listen to some music and make Hubby's Valentine card. I have used some  papers which I downloaded from the Docrafts web site quite a while back now. I though they were perfect for a masculine valentine card.

Hope to make some more cards in the next few days.  I need to get all my Easter ones ready as before long the work is beginning on my Bungalow and all my craft stuff will be packed away.  I cant wait for the day I have a brand new craft room.

Have a lovely evening crafter's

Sewing Projects

 Good Evening Crafters

I have been going to my sewing class and I am loving every minute of it but the sewing machine scares me a little bit.  It is so hard to sew in a straight line.  I made this cute pin cushion and this cute little book to store my needles.  I love how the turned out even though there are a few wobbly lines.  Next week we are learning to make a cushion cover.  Cant wait.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Forever Friends - My favorite Bears

A lovely lady saw a card like this on my blog from quite a while back and asked if I could make one for her.  I think the Forever Friends Bears are so cute and they always make a great card for any occasion.   Thank you lovely lady for the card request it means so much, I don't have a lot of confidence in myself so this really gave me a crafting boost.

Loving my colored backgrounds.

2014 Crafting Begins

Hi Crafty Friends

I have had a lovely hour in my craft room and made this cute card.  I love the bright colors and they really cheered me up on  this wet and windy afternoon.

I have not been happy with my photos on here so I decided to try adding some color to my background rather than white.  I really like the way this photo came out and I think I will try and stick to my plan and brighten the backgrounds up to really show off the card.

The Penny Black stamps are so cute and great to color in with my Spectrum Noir pens.
I made the card for my Auntie who will be 81.  She loves bright colorful things and she is young at heart so I am sure this will bring a smile to her face.

Hope you like my new look for 2014.
